In today's lessons, Isaiah and then Peter are brought to their knees by an experience of the holiness of God. Being in the presence of the pure and holy causes us to gasp and to feel "fear and trembling." Has a confrontation with the truly holy ever brought you to your knees?
PRAYER: Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hidden. Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy name, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
LESSONS: Isaiah 6: 1-8 and Luke 5: 1-11
