Traditional Worship Service

in the Sanctuary

Sunday, September 5, we celebrate Holy Communion.

Through the sacrament we receive the grace of God.  Communion tells the story of the passion, death, and resurrection of Christ and proclaims to us that we are forgiven and accepted and loved by God.  The sacrament is available to anyone who wishes to be embraced by the Lord.

Please let your server know if you want gluten-free bread.

Sunday's lesson is Philemon 1-21.

Rev. David Cooney's sermon: Property Rights.

CHRISTIAN CONNECTIONS Classes for Adults 9:45 - 10:45 Sunday mornings

Classes begin September 12th

bullet

The Men's Class will open the "season" with a series of one-Sunday discussions, designed to allow new members to enter and join in the conversation without needing to read a study the week before.  In this way, we can introduce new men to our class without them feeling out of sync by walking in during a four-week book study.  In October, we'll venture into a few longer, more in-depth studies.  So, come by, and see what we're about.  We take our religion seriously; ourselves, not so much!  Come by Room 314 and join a group of men that enjoy fellowship while strengthening their faith.  Hope to see you on the 12th.

New class: Parenting Your Teen.  If you have struggled in the role of a Christian parent of a teenager or feel you have something to offer those of us who do struggle, this class is for you.  We will meet for 8 weeks, starting September 12 in Room 116.
