Children Ministries

Here are the REGISTRATION FORMS for all children's activities during the program year.  Click on the links to open the PDFs.  Please print, fill-out, and return to the church by scanning and e-mailing, faxing, mailing, or bringing it in.  You need to fill out a Registration Form AND the Parental Release and Medical Form for each of your children.

We WELCOME you to the world of ministry for/with/by children.  God is present in the lives of children who are smiling and making new discoveries, in energetic children in a group setting, and in the voices of children singing and learning.  Children's Ministry is a very important part of our church family.  Our commitment is to teach children the importance of having Christ in their lives, how to apply what they read in the Bible to their everyday living, and to support them as they walk their path of spiritual growth.  Our hope is that every child will know that they are loved and valued by God, their church, their family, and their peers.

The Cribbery (nursery) toys are cleaned every Sunday morning after the 11:00 Worship Service.

The Cribbery:  Caring for our little ones — Did you know...

     --We have wonderful paid caregivers in the Cribbery every Sunday

     --Church members who have received Safe Sanctuary Training lovingly volunteer in the Cribbery each week

     --Pagers are available in the Cribbery so we can be in contact with you

CHILDREN AND WORSHIP
Children and Worship is an exciting way for children to experience God while learning about God.  It helps children worship in a special place apart from the worshiping congregation in the sanctuary so they learn to worship meaningfully with the congregation.  Children and Worship uses the sensorimotor style of storytelling as the young children work with story figures and art materials to experience the stories of the Bible.  The Children and Worship room is a "very special place" where the children learn in an age appropriate way how to worship God.

 

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN

Children's Choirs, Advent and Easter Celebrations, Summer Fun Days, and Lock-in are some of the other activities we offer our children here at Towson United Methodist Church.

 

HANGING OF THE GREENS, Saturday, December 3, Advent activities for families and children at 4:30.  At 6:00 there will be a Dedication Service of the greens and singing by the Cherubs and Trebles in the Sanctuary.

 

COME TO BETHLEHEM AND SEE
December 6, 13, & 20, children age 3 - 1st grade are invited to join us at 6:00 to 7:30 PM in Room 312.  We will bring the Christmas story to life with games, crafts, and a story time.  A light supper will be served.  Free will donation will be accepted.  E-mail Jeannine Neuen at jneuen@towsonumc.org to let her know you wish to attend.
