--WE APPRECIATE YOU BEING OUR
PRAYER PARTNER--
Our VIM (Volunteers in Mission) Team was in Sanford, North Carolina to work on
a home damaged during the
violent tornadoes last April. We returned Friday, January 20. If you
have a Facebook page, you can follow our progress and view pictures at
TUMC's Facebook page. You can find us in Facebook at "Towson United
Methodist Church." (catchy name!) |

M E E T I N G !
Thank you for your input on the church surveys. Your
thoughtful responses are appreciated. We will be sharing a summary
of your responses as well as a draft proposal for a shift in the Sunday
morning schedule and our early worship service on SUNDAY, JANUARY 29
after each of the worship services (8:30 & 11:00). These
meetings will be held in the Sanctuary and will offer the opportunity to
hear, ask questions, and offer input on what will be proposed.
All church members and friends are invited to attend. |

Our EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY is open
TWICE a month assisting the
Baltimore County community.
LAST THURSDAY, January 26, 6:00 -
7:00 PM
LAST SATURDAY, January 28, 9:00 - 10:30 AM
(you choose one day or the other -- you may receive food once a month)
Come to the main lobby of the church.
We offer non-perishable groceries that could last about a week.
You may receive food every 30 days.
If you are currently eligible
for government assistance, such as food debit card, medical assistance,
energy assistance, EUSP assistance, unemployment, OR you have low income
or your
economic situation causes you to cut back on food, you are eligible to
receive government surplus food here at TUMC.
Our church receives food through the
government program: TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program).
To receive TEFAP food, you need to show a current photo ID AND one
document that shows you receive government assistance
or that your income is low or your financial situation causes you to cut
back on food.
We
also have canned food brought to the church by our congregation and
community.
You DO NOT need any form of ID or proof of eligibility to receive
non-government food.
If you have questions, call Cathy at 410-823-3689 during the business
hours Monday-Thursday.
